We•Cycle (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding your personal data when you visit our website or use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you book a pickup, fill out our inquiry form, or otherwise communicate with us through our website, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Service address, including unit number, gate code, or carport/parking space number
  • Details about the items you need removed, your service level, and any add-ons
  • Photos you submit with your booking
  • Pickup date and time window
  • Your tip choice
  • How you heard about us
  • Your consent choices for text messages and our Terms of Service

Payment Information

All payments are collected online, in full, at the time of booking through our secure checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or payment account details on our servers; that information is handled directly by Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy. We keep a record of your order, amounts paid, refunds, and the last digits and type of the card used.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • Pages visited, clicks, and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or source, including ad click identifiers
  • Date and time of your visit

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Calculate your price, confirm, schedule, and fulfill your booking
  • Contact you about your appointment by email and, if you consent, by text message
  • Respond to inquiries, including cancellation and rescheduling requests
  • Process payments, tips, and refunds
  • Prevent fraud and misuse of our booking system
  • Measure our advertising and improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Text Messages

If you opt in, we send text messages about your pickup, such as booking confirmations, reminders, crew-on-the-way alerts, reschedule notices, payment links, and receipts. Message frequency varies by booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Texts are sent through our scheduling system and its messaging provider (Twilio). We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information is shared with our service providers only as needed to deliver the messages.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share your information only as needed to provide our services:

  • Strong Junk Removal, our pickup partner, receives your name, phone number, address, access details, items, photos, and appointment details to complete your pickup.
  • Service providers that run our website, scheduling, payments, and messaging, including Stripe (payments), our scheduling system built on Google Workspace and AppSheet, Twilio (text messages), and our website host.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect our rights, our crew, or our customers.

5. Third-Party Tools on Our Website

Google Ads

We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This may involve cookies and ad click identifiers to record actions taken on our site after clicking an ad. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google Maps

Our booking form uses Google Maps address autocomplete. The address you type is sent to Google to suggest matching addresses, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website through usage data such as clicks, scrolling, and page interactions, which may include session replays. Form fields such as payment details are not captured. This data is processed by Microsoft and subject to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Matomo Analytics

We also use Matomo, a self-hosted analytics platform, to track website usage. Matomo data is stored on our own server and is not shared with third parties. Matomo may collect your IP address, browser information, and pages visited. If you prefer not to be tracked by Matomo, you may enable Do Not Track in your browser settings.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process all online payments securely. When you enter payment information at checkout, that information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Stripe may use cookies and device information to prevent fraud.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to improve your experience and support analytics. Cookies used on this site may include:

  • Analytics cookies (Matomo, Microsoft Clarity)
  • Advertising cookies (Google Ads)
  • Functional cookies (WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor)
  • Payment and fraud-prevention cookies (Stripe)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of our website, including the ability to complete a booking.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, tax, or reporting requirements. Booking, payment, and form records are retained for up to 3 years, unless a longer period is required by law.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Our website uses SSL encryption (HTTPS), prices are calculated and verified on our server, and all payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law
  • Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP
  • Opt out of analytics tracking

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and you must be 18 or older to book a pickup. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

11. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites such as Google, Yelp, and others. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
